League One Preview – Week 13
Weekends Betting Predictions
League One continues with fixture round 13 this weekend
Some interesting results being flagged up by the Poisson model. Wigan Athletic the stand out, having won 4 and drawn 2 of there 6 home games this season, Colchester only a couple of places below them so potentially good odds there. Doncaster Rovers have appointed Darren Ferguson as their new boss and will be looking for an instant reaction at home to Bradford as both teams hover above the drop zone.
Table toppers Walsall face mid table Chesterfield at home, whilst 2nd placed Burton travel to 2nd bottom Fleetwood and Gillingham travel to bottom of the table Crewe Alexandra
Last weeks results
Taking a quick look at the weekends results from League One we can see that only 2 of the 10 games were predicted correctly. Very disappointing as many results went against recent form. Walsall won the top of the table clash beat Burton 2-0 at home to go joint top.
Sheffield United appear to be picking up a head of steam and another great win in a 5 goal thriller at Brammall Lane over Rochdale.
My bet for this round of fixtures will be a home double and away treble – Sky Bet offering the best odds for this League One double.
Walsall to BEAT Chesterfield
Wigan Athletic to BEAT Colchester United
Burton Albion to WIN AT Fleetwood Town
Gillingham to WIN AT Crewe Alexandra
Sheffield United to WIN AT Oldham Athletic
If you are interested in the Goals Market (<2.5, BTTS, >2.5), 3 games have been flagged as a good bet.
Fleetwood Town v Burton Albion
Scunthorpe United v Shrewsbury Town
Both showing as <2.5 goals for the game.
