Hot Tips – Week 1

Weekly Hot Tips

After looking through our Stats for the first Saturday of the Season across all 4 divisions, we have come up with the following Hot Tips.

Premier League

Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur

Last time they met, Manchester United won 3-0 at a canter. Spurs have won 2 of the last 3 visits to Old Trafford, but also only 2 of the last 5.

Of the last 5 meetings, 80% of the games have finished >2.5 goals

With 2 tough pre-season friendlies this week for Spurs its all too much for them

Prediction: Manchester United win & Goals >2.5  :- 7/5 – BET365

Chelsea v Swansea City

Straight forward this fixture, Chelsea have a 100% record since the Swans were promoted having won all 4 of the previous meetings at the Bridge, and despite a sluggish display in the Community Shield they’ll start their title defence off with 3 points.

Prediction: Chelsea win: –  1/3 SkyBet

Championship

Blackburn Rovers v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves have won the last 3 games at Ewood Park, and with the rumoured departures of there main strikers, Rhodes & Gestede, we think this run will continue. In only 1 of the last 4 games have both teams scored so expect a low scoring affair.

Prediction: Wolves win: – 19/10 – BetVictor

Bolton Wanderers v Derby County

Promotion Favourites Derby face a Bolton side trying to steady the ship. Neil Lennon is a good manager but is having to make do with kids at the moment, wheres new boss Paul Clement, in from Real Madrid, has spent big strengthening all areas.

Last time they met Derby won 2-0 and we think a similar scoreline this time around.
Prediction: Derby win: – 11/10 – BetVictor

League One

Crewe Alexandra v Port Vale

Port Vale have only won once in their last 4 visits to Crewe. In 100% of those 4 games both teams have scored, with 75% of the games containing more than 2.5 goals.
Crewe to win and get off to a good start.

Prediction: Crewe win & BTTS: – 4/1 – BET365

Gillingham v Sheffield United

Nigel Clough has been replaced with Nigel Adkins, who has good form for getting teams out of this division. United were strong last season, but performed better in the Cups than they did in the League. With recent additions the Blades will be too strong

Prediction: Sheffield United win: – 5/4 – Ladbrokes

Swindon Town v Bradford City

For so long last season, Swindon looked the team to beat, they were head to head with Bristol City, but faded at the end and missed out.
They have the perfect chance to get off to a flier against Bradford. They have lost none of the last 5 meetings at home. Expect this to continue.

Prediction: Swindon Town win: – 13/10 – Ladbrokes

League Two

Stevenage v Notts County

Notts have won 2 of the last 3 at Stevenage, and after some big movements in the Summer, with over 9 players coming in this run should continue. 100% of these games have had less than 2.5 goals. So expect a low scoring win for the Pies.

Prediction: Notts County win & < 2.5 goals: – 9/5 – Paddy Power
